She also appears under the given name **Chana**. She married [[Eyzyk Blufogel (b.1745)]], recorded in the same pre-surname style as **"Ayzik Aronowicz,"** and the couple held a **brick house on the Rynek Wygonowy** (the Wygon market square) — a masonry house among the market stalls being, in a mostly-timber town repeatedly swept by fire, a marker of standing.[^arb] Eyzyk had died **before 1798**, and Raca lived on as a widow for nearly three more decades. In **November 1807** the family formalised the division of the brick house in a family arbitration settlement ([akta 105](https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/en/jednostka/-/jednostka/1753843?p_p_id=Jednostka&_Jednostka_delta=1&_Jednostka_cur=226)): as widow, Raca kept the **main brick house among the stalls, together with the shop facing the street and the cellar beneath it, for the whole of her life**, while her son [[Nowak Blufogel (b.1769)]] and her daughter [[Zlota Dwojra Blufogel (b.1779)]] (with her husband Icko Oszyowicz Leywi/Balter) shared the rear rooms and the right to run a fair-time tavern during the June and September fairs. A 1,350-złp debt between the two children was secured on the shop, with the arrangement pointedly turning on Raca's lifetime — Nowak's repayments to his sister were to begin only after their mother's death.[^arb] Raca herself continued to transact in her own name. In **1810** she appears in the town books in **akta 170** — alongside **Jankiel Aria Nowakowicz**, presumably a grandson (a son of her son Nowak) [?] — and in **akta 223**, together with her son Nowak.[^bio] It is from the first of these that a link between two of Ozzy's direct Łęczna lines emerges: in 1810 [[Rubin Edelsztajn (b.1744)]] registered an **1,800-złp bill of exchange owed to him by "Raca Koplowna"** ([akta 170, sc.393](https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/en/jednostka/-/jednostka/1753843?p_p_id=Jednostka&_Jednostka_delta=1&_Jednostka_cur=393)), tying Raca's household directly to that of the ancestor Rubin Edelsztajn ("Rubin Iłowicz").[^rubin] Her children were [[Nowak Blufogel (b.1769)]], [[Zlota Dwojra Blufogel (b.1779)]] and [[Rywka Basia Blufogel (b.1785)]]; the line carries into Ozzy's direct ancestry through Rywka Basia.[^kin] Raca died in **Łęczna on 19 April 1826**, her death registered (akta 14) under the by-then-adopted surname **Blufogel**, with the synagogue caretaker Dawid Goldman and Ela Milchaus as witnesses.[^death] [^arb]: 1807 family arbitration settlement, jedn. 1753843, akta 105, sc.226 (Łęczna notarial book), detailed on the profile of [[Eyzyk Blufogel (b.1745)]] from MyHeritage; awards the widow Rayca the main house, shop and cellar for life, with Nowak and Zlota Dwojra sharing the rear rooms and fair-time tavern rights. [^kin]: Children per the GEDCOM record (Bernstein tree, I514016): [[Nowak Blufogel (b.1769)]], [[Zlota Dwojra Blufogel (b.1779)]], [[Rywka Basia Blufogel (b.1785)]]. Nowak and Zlota Dwojra are corroborated as her children in the 1807 arbitration settlement (akta 105; see [^arb]). Ozzy's direct descent runs through Rywka Basia. ## Research *(your reasoning — preserved across every rebuild)* **1810 — a debtor of [[Rubin Edelsztajn (b.1744)]] (a link between two ancestral households).** In 1810 Rubin Edelsztajn registered an **1,800-złp bill of exchange owed to him by "Raca Koplowna"** ([jedn. 1753843, akta 170, sc.393](https://www.szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/en/jednostka/-/jednostka/1753843?p_p_id=Jednostka&_Jednostka_delta=1&_Jednostka_cur=393)) — the same 1810 akta 170 already noted on this profile. It ties Raca, widow of [[Eyzyk Blufogel (b.1745)]], directly to the household of [[Rubin Edelsztajn (b.1744)]] — two of Ozzy's direct Łęczna ancestral lines transacting with each other.
