## Overview
Ramat Gan is a city in the Tel Aviv District of Israel, immediately east of Tel Aviv and part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area. It was founded in 1921 as a moshava (agricultural settlement) and grew into a major urban center, home to the Diamond Exchange District, Bar-Ilan University, and one of Israel's largest business hubs. Its 2024 population was roughly 172,000.
