It is not a distinct shtetl: it had no separately organized Jewish kehilla of its own, and Jewish records naming "Abramowice" relate to a person from the outskirts of Lublin rather than an independent community. Lublin proper was one of the great centres of Polish Jewry (yeshiva, synagogues, cemetery, the famous "Jewish Oxford"), and its Jewish community was destroyed in the Holocaust through the Lublin Ghetto and Bełżec/Majdanek deportations; people tied to Abramowice should be read in that Lublin context.
