Under occupation a ghetto was established in 1942 and most Jews deported to Bełżec during 1942, the ghetto finally liquidated in June 1943 with only ~800 surviving. It was the home of the Polish-Jewish writer Bruno Schulz, shot in the ghetto in 1942. Sources: Wikipedia — Drohobych, Wikipedia — Drohobycz Ghetto ## People with events here | Person | Event | | --- | --- | | [[Yitzchak Chajes (b.1640)]] | Died 09/12/1726 | | [[Meir Goldfischer (b.1851)]] | Born ~1851 | | [[Liwsze Goldfischer (b.1853)]] | Born 10/27/1853 | | [[Schulum Lerner (b.1855)]] | Born 02/05/1855, Died 1911 | | [[Isak Rosenwiesen (b.1858)]] | Born 1858 | | [[Sura Suessel Goldfischer (b.1858)]] | Born 01/17/1858 | | [[Simcha Aron Goldfischer (b.1864)]] | Born 09/20/1864 | | [[Shlomo Goldfischer (b.1825)]] | Died 1865 | | [[Hencha Kamerman (b.1868)]] | Born ~1868 | | [[Jona Leib Schuster (b.1876)]] | Born 1876 | | [[Eidel Hausler (b.1878)]] | Born 1878, Died 1879 | | [[David Schloma Lerner (b.1878)]] | Born 1878 | | [[Isaac Eisig Hausler (b.1880)]] | Born 1880, Died 1881 | | [[Chaje Diene Lerner (b.1880)]] | Born 1880, Died 1881 | | [[Mindel Goldfischer (b.1882)]] | Born 1882 | | [[Chajem Joel Lerner (b.1882)]] | Born 1882, Died 1884 | | [[Morris Lerner (b.1886)]] | Born 05/27/1886 | | [[Kale Lerner (b.1886)]] | Born 06/10/1886 | | [[Salomon Tiegermann Feldstein (b.1888)]] | Born 1888 | | [[Lajzer Lerner (b.1889)]] | Born 1889, Died 1890 | | [[Chaim Markus Patrich (b.1889)]] | Born 1889 | | [[Ida Lenner (b.1891)]] | Born 01/24/1891 | | [[Max Lerner (b.1893)]] | Born 04/27/1893 | | [[Bella Lerner (b.1895)]] | Born 06/15/1895 | | [[Abraham Herman Goldfischer (b.1897)]] | Born 06/01/1897 | | [[Meyer Goldfischer (b.1897)]] | Born 09/14/1897 | | [[Katy Lerner (b.1897)]] | Born 10/18/1897 | | [[Perez Patrich (b.1900)]] | Born 1900, Died 1901 | | [[Minnie Lerner (b.1900)]] | Born 12/11/1900 | | [[Moses Goldfischer (b.1902)]] | Born 01/20/1902 | | [[Izak Sigulim]] | Born |
