Its interwar population was mixed Jewish, Polish, Ukrainian, German and Czech. Its Jewish community was destroyed in the Holocaust; local farmers Mykhailo and Polaha Svystun were recognized as Righteous Among the Nations for sheltering Jews and were burned alive in their home. Sources: Wikipedia — Skole ## People with events here | Person | Event | | --- | --- | | [[Kreincze (b.1815)]] | Born 1815, Died 1885 | | [[Jacob Goldfischer (b.1824)]] | Born 1824, Died 1904 | | [[Moshe Goldfischer (b.1832)]] | Born 1832, Died 1895 | | [[Wolf Goldfischer (b.1834)]] | Born 1834, Died 1900 | | [[Taube Goldfischer (b.1843)]] | Born 12/1843 | | [[Mordche Goldfischer (b.1846)]] | Born 1846, Died 1882 | | [[Rachel Taube Goldfischer (b.1849)]] | Born 1849 | | [[Shmuel Simcha Goldfischer (b.1862)]] | Born 1862, Died 1924 | | [[Feige Goldfischer (b.1863)]] | Born 1863 | | [[Moses Last (b.1864)]] | Born ~1864 | | [[Leibisch Landesman (b.1867)]] | Born 1867 | | [[Chaya Goldfischer (b.1870)]] | Born ~1870 | | [[Chaja Sara Goldfischer (b.1873)]] | Born 1873 | | [[Simcha Meier Libochora (b.1875)]] | Born 1875 | | [[Feiga Neubauer (b.1875)]] | Born 1875 | | [[Ettel Rotfeld (b.1876)]] | Born ~1876, Died 1877 | | [[Dresel Greenblum Goldfischer (b.1878)]] | Born 1878 | | [[Wolf Landesmann (b.1878)]] | Born 1878 | | [[Wolf Rotfeld (b.1878)]] | Born 1878 | | [[Sarah Rosenstrauch (b.1879)]] | Born 1879 | | [[David Rosenstrauch (b.1881)]] | Born 1881, Died 1883 | | [[Samuel Markus Goldfischer (b.1883)]] | Born 1883 | | [[Jacob Juda Greenblum (b.1884)]] | Born 1884, Died 1884 | | [[Marcus Greenblum (b.1884)]] | Born 1884, Died 1885 | | [[Leibush Rosenstrauch (b.1884)]] | Born 1884 | | [[Sarah Goldfischer (b.1885)]] | Born 1885 | | [[Aharon Rotfeld (b.1888)]] | Born 1888 | | [[Yosef Rotfeld (b.1888)]] | Born 1888, Died 1891 | | [[Shmuel Leib Goldfischer (b.1889)]] | Born 1889 | | [[Rachel Rotfeld (b.1890)]] | Born 1890 | | [[Yehudah Yitzchok Goldfischer (b.1894)]] | Born 1894 | | [[Manie Schwartzbart (b.1895)]] | Born 1895 | | [[Devorah Schwartzbart (b.1897)]] | Born 1897, Died 1898 | | [[Chaya Hudya Spiegel (b.1817)]] | Died 10/25/1897 | | [[Yisrael Rotfeld (b.1851)]] | Died 1901 | | [[Yissachar Rotfeld (b.1901)]] | Born 1901 | | [[Yosef Rotfeld (b.1902)]] | Born ~1902, Died 1902 | | [[Ruchel Goldfischer (b.1905)]] | Born 1905, Died 1905 | | [[Tobias Landesman (b.1905)]] | Born 1905 | | [[Raizel Schwartzbart (b.1905)]] | Born 1905, Died 1906 | | [[Mordechai Yosef Goldfischer (b.1907)]] | Born 1907 | | [[Jossel Rotfeld (b.1907)]] | Born 1907 | | [[Pesel Schwartzbart (b.1907)]] | Born 1907 | | [[Sinai Goldfischer (b.1908)]] | Born 1908 | | [[Chaya Schwartzbart (b.1911)]] | Born 1911 | | [[Gittel Rivka Fraga (d.1917)]] | Died 1917 | | [[Mechel Rotfeld (b.1838)]] | Died 1934 | | [[Chane Mirl Goldfischer]] | Born | | [[Riwka Dwore Goldfischer (d.1885)]] | Born , Died 1885 | | [[Peiszach Rotfeld]] | Born |
