**What this book is.** The **Łęczna wójt / council / bench-court decree book** — Latin title, but the case entries are in **Polish** (with Latin formulae). Content = criminal & civil decrees: debts, thefts (horses, cattle, fair robberies), assaults, property/boundary disputes, guild matters, inheritances, and internal Jewish-community (kahał) cases. Most parties are Christian burghers; **Jews appear throughout as litigants, creditors, debtors, theft victims, receivers, witnesses, arendarze, craftsmen and kahał officials** — a much richer Jewish presence than a vital-records register.
**Method.** All 121 scans downloaded (bulk zip) and read by vision across 9 parallel readers (scans 1–3 = covers/Latin title; 121 = 1961 microfilm end-card). Confidence per person recorded in the xlsx (`Extractor Internal Notes`). Many 18th-c court-hand readings are index-quality — high where "*niewierny / Żyd / starozakonny*" is explicit, med/low where identification rests on a Jewish given name/patronymic or the paleography is hard.
## Highlight — the Łęczna kahał leadership (1727–1736)
This book is an unusually good source for the **early-18th-c Łęczna kahał**:
